What are the pros and cons of reconditioned motors for toyota snowy landcruiser?

the reconditioned motors ,are quite good,they come with a warranty,approx 3months, if any thing was going to go wrong it would have done so in the 3 months ,as long as the cam belt has been replaced the motor should go well ,for as long as you look after it,ie.change the oil regular etc.lets face it the "donk " would have new rings,ground down tappets,big ends re sleeved, total decoke,block fully flushed,welded up "soft spots "new water plugs,all new gaskets,tightened block, ...so it comes down to you look after it ,it is cheaper than buying a new motor ,if you buy a replacement motor from a wrecker ,you run the risk of getting a dud ,one that's probably done in excess of 200,000 or been thrashed ( worked )motors on today's standards are designed to out last the entire car personally i would do it
