What will the good Muslims who are outraged by Major Hasan say if someone else like him is removed from duty?
We have the expected chorus of denial of responsibility from all the good Muslims of the land. So let's say we have an investigation and find several of them who have done what this man did prior to the day of the killings - took his faith seriously, attended a mosque where the hijackers went, was adamantly opposed to the war, etc. Let's also suppose these guys didn't have a criminal record either, and were as educated - lawyer, doctor, engineer, whatever. Can you imagine the response of the Muslim supporters, ACLU, even our president, if such a person had been removed? What's the solution to this fundamental flaw in their argument that until the guy does something heinous, you can't touch him because that would be profiling?
