Non-resident status in tax return?

You are NOT a non-resident. Anybody who is in the UK for at least half the year (meaning tax year from April 6 to April 5) is resident, as is almost everybody who spends more than 91 days a year in the UK on average over 4 years. Tax residence has nothing to do with visas or work permits.
