How to train a stray cat?

When I was young I had a cat, in Oklahoma that was part cat, part bobcat. He was hurt therefore he came into our storage unit. My parents were so against me trying to do anything for him. Still I was determined. I sat perfectly still for hours by his food. Eventually, because he needed the food he came to it and me. The answer is you must be devoted to having a relationship with a being that doesn't trust you. He was the most loyal pet I have ever Had.To this day I think of him.
