How do we get our son to change his mind about college?

The kid has an opportunity in life that few people will see; let him take it. Just as easily as he could get injured while fighting and lose his contract, he could get injured while crossing the street on campus and then what? To never have had a chance at something that all of his pion and ambition is in would be devastating. Besides, if he has top grades now, those records will still be there in a couple years if he decides then that he wants to go to college. Don't try to bribe him into going your way with money or a car; he won't remember any of that later on. What he will always remember is "My Mom and Dad always supported me, no matter what I decided to do."
