Am i jealous of other people?

to be honest i am little dumb.......i am having a boyfriend who loves me a lot and cares about me vry much but he is a short temperd guy and i am very annoyed with his this habit........he does not give any gifts but ....i do not want anything from him but when my friends tell me about their bfs gifts i feel little awkward.....he also doesnt want me to talk to other boys because he is insecure bcoz her ex -girlfriend ditched him.......he is very intelligent ,smart men...he is so so caring and loving i cannot think of ditching him i love him very much but when sometimes i see my friends enjoying their lifes i am jealous of them and tihs makes me feel sad.... . please suggest me a way to come out of this?
