Sorry, this is a repeat, but I need to know, After starting birth control the period bleeding won't stop?
No, that's not normal, but that doesn't mean it's dangerous. But you can't keep it up forever--you might already have low iron from it. You should of course be talking with your doctor. Also, it sounds to me like you might have PCOS--polycystic ovarian syndrome--and that's why the doc said you may have cysts on your ovaries, and that's why you aren't having periods, and it may be contributing to you being overweight, which in turn is making it all worse. And that's also making you be pre-diabetic--you should have that tested. Or it might be that you don't have PCOS at all, but that your weight is messing up your period by causing your estrogen to be too high as compared to your progesterone--fat cells produce estrogen, leading to hormone imbalance. I don't know which is the case for you, but maybe you should stop the progesterone only and use condoms or sponges until you get to see the doc again.
